Video features on CN

The CN offers a variety of ways and places to link to, record, and upload videos. 

The first place that you can add a video is from posts: 

You can also add a Video Bio from the About section of your ePortfolio.

When you add a video on the CN, we provide 3 options: 

• Embed YouTube URL: Embed a YouTube video by entering the video's URL.
• Use CN Recorder: Record a video straight from your phone or computer's camera. These videos can only be up to a minute long. We provide three free tries, then afterward, you must be an institution user or become a CN Premium Member to use this feature.
• Upload a Video File: Upload a video file that you have already saved from your phone or computer. We only support .mp4, .mov, and .webm files. Each video file cannot be more than 10MB for free users or 1GB for institution and Premium users. 

We offer the same three options when you add a video from your mobile device. 

Note: Some mobile browsers don't always allow CN to access your camera directly, so the "Use CN Recorder" option might not be available sometimes. As an alternative, the "Access Camera or Files" button will usually let you record from your mobile camera or select an existing video file to use.
