From here, you can click the green button to add a new Question Section. Once you name a section, you must click the Checkmark to save.
You may create as many quiz sections as needed and can edit and delete them with the corresponding buttons to the right. After you are finished making sections, click Close.
Note, the checkbox at the bottom lets you decide if you want to display these section names to students while they are taking the quiz. By default, this is unchecked/turned off and the sections are only presented to students on the score report generated after the quiz. If it is checked, students will see the section name next to each question. You will find an example below.
Once sections are enabled, each question will have a "Section" dropdown in its row. You can use this to assign a question to a section.
You will also be able to assign sections while you are adding/editing each question.
Students Take Quizzes with Sections
When a student takes a quiz, if the instructor checked the option to show section names to students, the section names will be shown in parentheses after the questions, as shown below.
Quiz section names will also be visible when:
Score Report
Once a student submits a quiz attempt and its score becomes available, they will be able to access a Score Report.
Clicking View Score Report will open the score report with a section breakdown.
Students can then click "Export PDF" at the top right to download a PDF copy of their score report.
