Each CN course comes with a Public Page. This is the page that public users who do not log in to a CN account will see. You can also share the specific Public Page URL with anybody, regardless of being a member of the course or the CN, to have them browse basic course information. You can use this page to provide an introduction to your course topics, price, course instructors, prerequisites, values, completion awards, and FAQ. It can be a great tool to market your course.
Here are a couple of course Public Page examples:

1. Viewing a Public Page
To view your course's public page, click on the Public Page link located on the left-side menu in a Classic course. You can see all the options like View Page, Edit Page, Rename Tab, and Hide Tab by clicking the Gear icon to its right.
- View Page opens the Public view
- Edit Page opens the Edit view to change its content
- Rename Tab changes the name of this menu link for all course members
- Hide Tab hides the Public Page menu link for students
In a Pathway course, you must first select the Menu tab, and then find the Public Page link on the left side. Similar to a Classic course, the settings for the Pathway Course Public Page can be found by clicking the gear icon.
- View Page opens the Public view
- Edit Page opens the Edit view to change its content
2. Edit a Public Page
Edit Course Information
After clicking Edit Page in your course's Public Page settings, you will be taken to the Edit View
Here you can see the About Course information, an option to Edit Course Information, as well as the ability to add a course introduction video.
If you click on Edit Course Information, you will be able to change the basic details of the course that users will see on this page.
Add a Course Introduction Video
Clicking on the Video icon, or the + Add Course Introduction Video link, will allow you to add a course introduction video. In this example, a video was added via a YouTube link.
In this next example, the course introduction video was added by Recording a video with the device camera.
First, select Add a course introduction video.
Next, choose Record a video with device camera
Record your short 60-second course introduction video.
Save the video and allow a short time for it to process and upload.
Your video is now saved on your course public page.
Add Additional Sections
Scrolling down past the top section will provide you with 2 options: Add New Section and Preview Public Page.
Adding a New Section will allow you to add text and multimedia sections to the public page to give learners a better idea about the course content. These sections can address course topics, sign-up instructions, learning objectives, instructor introductions, course completion awards, FAQ, etc.
You can also switch to the Advanced Text Editor from the upper-right corner to add additional embedded HTML content, such as videos, images, and files.
You can also click Preview Public Page to be taken to the user view of the Public Page. You can share the URL of this page with anyone to view and join your course.
