Post Control Options for Students:
By clicking on the dot icon in the upper-right corner of a post, students can access the post controls:

Post Control Options for Instructors:
Instructors also have three additional controls: Adjust Anar Seeds, Highlight Post, and Hide Post.
Instructor view of a student's post
Instructor view of their own post
Adjust Anar Seeds
Instructors may also adjust Anar Seeds for a specific post. The current number of seeds awarded is shown inside of the parantheses. Again, instructors have three options after selecting this option.
- Type in an adjusted seed number within the parameters and select “Save”
- Type in an adjusted seed number within the parameters and select “Save and Email” to email the student who posted it
- Cancel the selection entirely
Note: Once an instructor adjusts post Anar Seeds, the change will automatically be reflected in all applicable places, such as Anar Seeds Progress bar and Roster. Adjusting Anar Seeds can be used when instructors want to grade each post using Anar Seeds.
Highlight Post
A course instructor or Network moderator may use this control to pin an important post to the top of a post feed for an indefinite or specified period of time. A comment may accompany the post explaining why it is highlighted. Highlighting a post helps draw attention and interactivity to specific content, and provides social recognition to students who create higher-quality posts.
-
Select Highlight Post
-
Choose a highlight length: Indefinitely, or for a specific amount of time
-
Type in a comment to explain to the class why this post is highlighted and then select “Pin” to highlight
If the post is highlighted, a yellow highlighter icon will appear on the post, as displayed in the screenshot below. Users may hover over the highlight to see who highlighted it and why they highlighted it (the comment).
Hide Post
Instructors may hide a particular post by clicking this option. Once selected the “Are you sure you want to hide/remove this Post?” will appear prompting instructors to choose one of three options:
- Continue to hide the post by selecting “Hide”
- Hide the post and email the user who posted it by selecting “Hide and Email”
- Cancel the selection entirely
If the post is hidden, a red lock will appear on the post, as displayed in the screenshot below. Only course instructors and the person who posted it can see it once it is hidden.
Note: Instructors can go back and un-highlight, adjust seed numbers or un-hide posts at any time.
