Find Jobs
The Find Jobs feature can be used to help you more easily look for jobs by using your location and Field of Study data on your CN ePortfolio.
You can use Find Jobs to search for jobs on indeed.com. More job search websites are planned to be added in the future. If you check the "Don't show this again" checkbox, you can skip this window and directly go to indeed.com from the Find Jobs button.
The indeed job search is based on your location and Field of Study from your Basic Information section of your ePortfolio.
Create ePortfolio Versions
Click on the Create New ePortfolio Version button to start creating new versions.
First, you need to enter a name for the ePortfolio version. Then you can select ePortfolio sections you want to be visible in this version. Anything you select will be visible to whoever is shared with this customized version of your ePortfolio regardless of the original visibility setting of the selected sections/items.
After you save the version you created, you have the option to start sending the unique link to this customized version to people with the Send ePortfolio Link button.
You can view a list of the versions you have created. On each version, you have the option to send the unique link, edit the version, or delete the version.
Send ePortfolio Link
In order to use the employer visit tracking feature, you will have to share your customized ePortfolio version(s) from one of the following two options: using the CN email system or generate a unique link that you can include in job applications.
You can also share a customized ePortfolio version to social media.
Send with CN Email
When you send your ePortfolio link through a CN email, you must first select the version of your ePortfolio you wish to send.
After selecting the ePortfolio version, you can then start creating your email. You must enter the name (such as Microsoft, Google, IU Health, etc.) and email address of the recipient. Then you can write a message. CN has some pre-filled text in the Message field. Any text that is wrapped in curly braces {} should be left alone. This is where your ePortfolio link will be placed.
Generate Unique Link
If you choose to generate a unique link, you only need to enter the name of the recipient (such as Microsoft, Google, IU Health, etc.) and select the version of the ePortfolio you wish to send.
After you submit, you will see the unique link that is generated. You can copy this link to include it in your job applications.
Share to Social Media
To share to social media, you must first select the version of your ePortfolio you wish to share. Then you can choose a platform to share the link to. Currently, you can only share to Twitter, but more options will be added soon.
Visitor Tracking
When anyone views your ePortfolio from the links generated from Send with CN Email, Generate Unique Link, or Share to Social Media, you will see a red number on the Visitor Tracking button. This lets you know how many people have recently viewed your ePortfolio from the generated links.
The Visitor Tracking window shows how many visits you have on each of the links you generated. You can view the visitor's activity from the View Activity link.
Note: Viewing visitor activity on your ePortfolio is currently only available to premium members.
On the activity window, you can see when the visitor accessed your ePortfolio and when/if they viewed any of your documents or showcases.
