Introducing AI Automated Post Reflection: How It Works
The AI Automated Post Reflection is an innovative feature designed to enhance social discussions and promote deeper thinking. Powered by Rumi, our AI-driven smart learning agent, this feature automatically interacts with students whose posts have more than 50 words and have notbeen commented on by peers or instructors two days after creation. Rumi's reflections are crafted to encourage critical thinking, articulation, and substantiating claims with evidence.
We carefully handle privacy, data security, and bias:
We prioritize user privacy and data security. Please be assured that users' post data is not used for training the AI model, and no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is shared outside of CourseNetworking. All processing occurs securely within our platform to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of user data. Specific mechanisms have been implemented to ensure Rumi’s reflections stay focused on the learning topic, without expressing personal opinions to avoid bias.
Below is an example of a Rumi AI-automated post reflection on a student post.
Note: Students are notified after receiving a Rumi AI-automated post reflection.
Disable This Feature
By default, this feature is available for student posts in all CN courses.
CN Channel admins can turn this feature off for all Channel courses in CN Channel>>Rumi>>Settings (Read related guide).
Every course instructor also has the option to disable and re-enable this AI feature from Course Settings>>Post settings, offering flexibility in its implementation. This allows the feature to be tailored to suit the specific needs and preferences of each institution and course.
