Instructors may use Task Tool Settings to modify task display and task related post display logic.
To access Task Tool Settings, click the gear icon next to the green Tasks tab, then select Task Tool Settings.
You may enable one or all of the options.
1. Do not automatically open tasks on course home page.
If you enable this option, the course homepage will not display any open tasks by default. Course members (including instructors) need to select a task from the left menu to view its content.
2. Show task related posts when a task is open
If you enable this option, when a task is open, instead of showing all of the course posts, only posts related to the opened task will be displayed in the post feed.
Users may click the "Show All Course Posts" tab to view all of the course posts.
After users refresh the course page or switch to another task, they will again only see task related posts.
Note: task related posts are posts created from or linked to SmartLinks in a task. Posts created from the general Post, Poll, Event buttons from the top of the course page are not associated with any tasks.
