Convert Tasks

This article shows instructors how to convert between main tasks and subtasks.

PART1: Convert Main Task to Subtask

STEP1: Click on the gear icon next to the main task you would like to convert and select "Convert to Subtask" from the list

NOTE: You cannot convert a main task to a subtask if the main task has subtasks of its own. You can only convert stand-alone main tasks.

STEP2: Select the new main task "parent" of your converted subtask. Click SUBMIT when finished.

If the parent task selected already has other subtasks, the newly converted subtask will appear after all previous subtasks.

PART2: Convert Subtask to Main Task

STEP1: Click on the subtask you would like to convert. Then, click the gear icon next to the subtask (within the task) and select "Convert to Main Task" from the list

STEP2: Click "Convert Subtask to Maintask" and your newly converted task will appear below all existing main tasks
