CN now offers three options to pass back the course Anar Seeds to LMS' Grade book. Instructors can choose one that meets their needs the best to use.
These settings are on the Anar Seeds Settings page. They appear once "Use Anar Seeds for Grading" is checked and "Pass Anar Seeds to LMS GradeBook (for CN Post)" is selected.
The 3 options and their calculation equations
1. Pass back total Anar goal progress starting now: If you choose this option, an Anar Seeds score relative to the course total Anar Seeds goal will be passed back to the LMS within an hour and the score will gradually increase as a student accumulates more seeds over time. The low Anar Seeds score at the beginning is likely to bring down their overall course grade. We recommend that you explain how Anar Seeds grade passback works to your students to eliminate their concerns.
The calculation formula for this case is:
2. Pass back total Anar goal progress after the seed accumulation end date: If you choose this option, your students will not see their Anar Seeds score in the LMS Grade book until the Anar Seeds accumulation end date you have set up. In this case, you should suggest your students track their Anar Seeds progress in CN Post -- from the top of the page or on the Roster.
The calculation formula for this case is the same as option 1. However, the grade display in the LMS Grade book is delayed.
3. If you choose “Pass back daily Anar goal progress starting now: If you choose this option, an Anar Seeds score relative to today’s goal will be passed back to the LMS within an hour. If a student has met the current daily goal, they will receive the total possible points in your LMS. They may see this score fluctuate over time, but if they keep a steady pace earning Anar Seeds, the score changes will not significantly affect their overall course grade.
The calculation formula for this case is:
