CN offers various types of institution-level analytics and reports. They are located under the "Institution Reports" tab in CN Channel.
1. Institution Data Dashboard
The dashboard provides various most current institution data, such as logins and most active courses. Institution admins can gain insights into the overall CN usage by quickly glancing at the data. More details about the institution data dashboard can be found in this article.
2. Institution Reports
Under "Institution Reports", there are several types of institution-wide general data (see screenshot below).
For example, you want to view the unique logins of your Channel members from Jan 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019. Select the Reporting Item and fill the time frame. You can then generate a graph or download a CSV report about the data.
Note: If you want to add user labels and/or user status to view data of a specific group, you will only be able to download the CSV report.
3. CN ePortfolio Reports
We provide detailed data on Channel members' ePortfolios. Please read this article to learn more.
4. Course Reports
For course reports, first, you can filter courses based on their status (All, Active, Ended, or Upcoming). You can also sort them by course members, Anar Seeds, course posts, and course completion).
You may use the checkboxes on the left to select some courses and export their data into a CSV file.
Note: there are more data fields on the downloaded CSV file than on the table below
You could also select 2-4 courses to compare them:
5. User General Reports
For User General Reports, you need to 1. select the user(s) you want to view data on and 2. select the data fields, then 3. click GENERATE REPORT at the bottom. You can click the blue link "View example report" to check what the report looks like.
6. Student Reports and Instructor Reports
These two report types are similar to User General Reports. You need to select both the user(s), report type, and data fields. You can also view an example from the link "View example report".
Note: For these two reports, there is a "Get Report During" time frame field on the top. If you fill in the beginning and/or ending time point, it will find users in courses that were active during the time period. If you leave both time fields empty, users from all of the Channel courses will be on the report.
7. Generated Reports
All of the exported CSV reports can be accessed here. Sometimes large files may take some time to process. In that case, you will need to check back after a few minutes.
Please contact help@thecn.com if you need additional data or have any questions about institution-level reports and analytics.
