Use the Google Assignments feature in CN Channel to connect to a school-wide Google Drive account for Google Assignments. Any assignment copies created from any Google Assignments in your institution will be placed in your selected folder under this Google Drive account.
Please note that this feature is optional. Instructors can still create Google Assignments in their courses without the school connecting to a school-wide Google Drive account. Please refer to this article for how instructors should set up Google Drive Assignments.
Connect to School-wide Google Drive
The steps of setting up a school-wide Google Drive account/folder for Google Drive Assignments are as follow:
First, go to the Integration page in CN Channel and click on the Google Assignments tab. Then, click on the “Connect To School Google Drive” button. You will be prompted to sign into your school-wide Google Drive account.

Note: If you are already logged into your own gmail account, clicking this button might automatically connect you to that. You might have to either log out of your personal account or complete this process in a new browser, or in the incognito or private mode of your current browser.
Once you are logged into the school account, you will be asked to select a folder. Click on a folder once so that it is highlighted, then click on the Select button. The selected folder is where all the assignment copies will be placed.

After you are connected, you will see the connected account and the selected folder displayed below the button. The button will also change to “Disconnect from School Google Drive”.

Reminder: please make sure you give instructors access to the school-wide Google Drive folder or specific folders in it. Otherwise, they will not be able to view their students' copies.
Disconnect to School-wide Google Drive
If you choose to disconnect from the school-wide Google Drive account, please be aware of the following options and scenarios.
After disconnecting, you may:
1. keep it disconnected. In this scenario, copies of existing assignments will still be in the school folder; copies of new assignments will be put under course instructors' Google Drive account.
2. connect to the same school account but select a different folder. In this scenario, copies of existing assignments will still be in the old folder; copies of new assignments will be in the new folder.
3. connect to another school-wide Google Drive account. In this scenario, students will no longer be able to generate new copies of any existing assignments. Copies of new assignments will be under the new account.
